Hi

I just purchased a 1994 BMW 325I Five speed with a Clifford Sabre alarm system installed. I want to remove this system (and re-sell it if anyone wants it). I am new to car security systems so can anyone give me pointers on how to do this?

I am assuming I will need to get access to under the dash below the steering wheel and find the alarm module, disconnect and re-splice any wires that are part of the BMW harness. Will all these connection be near the alarm module? Where would I look for the siren and the alarm module?

Am I missing anything? This system seems to be fully functional and is tied to the door handles at least.

Thank you in advance.

Sure

I just do not trust it and the BMW shop that did the pre-purchase inspection also recommended that it get removed.

Thats it.

i would get the alarm install manual and the tech sheet on your car   both avaiable from the download section  the brain is typical under the dash and siren under the hood.  i would first remove the siren then trigger the alarm and you should hear a relay click making the parking lights blink  follow the relay and you will find the brain.  all the connections are just spliced in so simple remove and re tape the connection....the only one that you will have to butt together is the starter wire   look at the tech sheet for your car and that will give you a good idea where all the connections should be

Thanks for the info. I already found the wiring details for my car but un-fortuantely my model alarm (Clifford Sabre) is not listed in the install guide download section.

This Clifford is a 1994 vintage, do you think any of the other guides would be close?

Thanks

DS
