I'm preparing to install a Audiovox Prestige Platinum APS-997 R/S on a 2006 Chevy Impala and wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this vehicle.  Any suggested tips to avoid problem areas.  Anything that could make the install easier based on your experience would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Take a look at this Audiovox document on the GM intelligent start interfacing, looks pretty straight forward.

I've only done remote start on them, not security.

Controlling the car's power locks from the aftermarket remote will be difficult. I do believe that Trilogix (bypasskit.com) has an interface module for that car, though. It should make things a LOT easier.
