I purchased a clifford alarm, and added the radar sensor as well.  I am getting ready to install this unit and the directions for the radar sensor are not so specific.  Anyway does this unit have to "see"  or can it be hidden.  I know it says to install as close to the center of the vehicle as possible,  I have the 40-20-40 split bench with the 20 being a fold up fold down consol.  Where would you recomend installing this unit and how.  I have done a lot of electrical installs in vehicles but never an alarm.  Thanks for your help

The unit SHOULD be hidden. I'm not sure on themounting position of the module you have but make sure that you test for the perimeter being monitored by stepping out of the truck and adjusting the area before hiding the module. Make sure that the orientation is right as well ( length wise or widthwise to truck ) as this is important because most radar sensors are eliptical not circular.

Thank you for your help.  So Since it is going in a super cab truck, you recomend mounting crossways,  I know the box said mounting int lengthwise with the vehicle.    Also it is good to know this unit can pass through stuff, not reflect (ie hide it in console or where ever and it still works.  Thanks again for your help.
