Hi Guys,

Apologies if this has been asked before, ive done a search but cant find my answer.

I installed a clifford intelligaurd 750 into my Uk spec 99 honda civic Hatch today. All is fine apart from the central door locking which is not working off the alarm keyfob.Afaik the C/L worked off the the standard honda infra red fob but i didnt get this with the car when i bought it.

Is it a case of i need a seperate motor or relay or should the alarm be opening the doors already?I was under the assumption only JDM honda's and not euro spec ones needed these

Thanks in advance

E

99 Civic

How did you interface the door locks? Trusting the UK version is the same as the US (DEI does not list a different one for the UK in 99) the spec sheet states they are negative trigger located at the keyless entry module " The keyless entry module is white in color, and located in the drivers kick panel.". GREEN / WHITE for lock and GREEN/ Orange for unlock. With the Clifford Intelliguard 750 you just have to connect the Green Lock output to the GREEN / WHITE Honda wire and the Blue unlock output to the GREEN/ Orange Honda wire.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replay twelvevolts,

Im new to installations so i followed the factory wiring diagram (haynes manual) to the central locking unit, the colour wires coming from it are GREEN/ red,WHITE/ blue,black,WHITE/ red,blue/white,blue/red so im hazarding a guess its different wiring to the us spec.

It was reccomended to me that i may need another motor as when i turn the key in the passenger side door it doesnt unlock the driver side, yet turning the key in the driver side unlocks the passenger side.

Here's a picture i snapped of the c/l unit

There's a 96 uk civic on the design tech page which states the power lock/unlock is a GREEN/ red with silver rings which is what ive got in the picture above. Is it a case of joining the blue and green wires from the clifford and adding them both to this?
