Hello.
I bought a security system for my 97 2dr Honda Civic EX. I have no idea how I am going to install this. I thought I could but the instruction manual was generic so I dont have any idea.
My car interior is stock with stock audio player. I guess it dosent have any security system. It has a set of 2 green plug behind the radio which I guess belongs to the alarm it once had but does not work. I got a remote when i bought the car 'used', but the remote keyless entry does not work. I have automatic central locking.
Anybody have any suggestions? I need help with interpreting the diagram that says attachment and overall with everything

I love badly translated install manuals. Despite the manual's reccomendation, I would suggest not mounting the control unit in a location easily accessable to a thief.

i am not a specialist but i am just trying to help you. her are some instructions for the installation of an alarm system i found them in amnual its more explained than your's. i sugest you to clarify exactly what kind of problem you have with the instalation so the forumers can give you the right informations.
INSTALLATION OF MAJOR COMPONENTS
Control Module :
Select a mounting location inside the passenger compartment ( up behind the dash ), and secure using the screws provided. The control module can also be secured in place using cable ties. Do not mount the control module in the engine compartment, as it is not waterproof. You should also avoid mounting the unit directly onto factory installed electronic components. These components may cause RF interference, which can result in poor transmitter range or intermittent operation.
Siren :
Select a mounting location in the engine compartment that is well protected from access below the vehicle. Avoid areas near high heat components or moving parts within the engine compartment. To prevent water retention, the front or sounding end of the siren must be pointed downward when mounted.
Mount the siren to the selected location using the screws and bracket provided.
Hood or Trunk Pin Switch :
A pin switch is included for use in protecting the hood or trunk ( or hatchback ) of the vehicle. The switch must always be mounted to a grounded, metal surface of the vehicle. It is important to select a location where water cannot flow or collect, and to avoid all drip gutters on hood and trunk fender walls. Choose locations that are protected by rubber gaskets when the hood or trunk lid is closed.
The pin switch can be mounted using the bracket provided, or direct mounted by drilling a ¼ “ diameter mounting hole. Keep in mind that when properly mounted, the plunger of the pin switch should depress at least ¼ “ when the hood or trunk lid is closed.
Dash Mounted LED :
A small LED is included that will serve as a visual indicator of the alarm status. It should be installed in the dash, located where it can be easily seen from outside the vehicle, yet not be distracting to the driver. Once a location has been selected, check behind the panel for wire routing access, and to confirm the drill will not damage any existing components as it passes through the panel.
Drill a ¼ “ diameter hole, and pass the red and blue wires from the LED through the hole, from the front of the panel. Firmly press the body of the LED into the hole until fully seated.
Valet Switch :
Select a mounting location for the switch that is easily accessible to the driver of the vehicle. The switch does not have to be concealed, however, concealing the switch is always recommended, as this provides an even higher level of security to the vehicle.
The valet switch can be mounted to the lower side of the dash by drilling a ¼ “ diameter hole in the selected location.
Be sure to check behind the dash for adequate clearance for the body of the switch, and to confirm that the drill will not damage any existing components as it passes through the dash. You should also make certain that the back of the switch is accessible for wiring later in the installation.
Shock Sensor :
Select a solid mounting surface for the shock sensor on the firewall inside the passenger compartment, and mount the sensor using the two screws provided. The shock sensor can also be secured to any fixed brace behind the dash using tie straps.
Whichever mounting method is selected, make certain that the sensitivity adjustment is accessible for use later in the installation.

I completely dont understand this part. maybe a little. What is the high pressure igniting coil? and where is that in the honda civic? I have 4 wires coming out from this relay. Yellow, white, green and another green. I dont understand the series of connection. please give me some info on how to install this. refer the original full photo. this is a part of the diagram.

in this next part, I know that the red wire that goes to the +ve terminal dont go straight to the battery of the car but rather somewhere inside the car. Where is that place where I may connect the +ve terminal to in a 97 honda civic coupe?
And also when I connect the wires to the direction light, do I just connect them to the under-dash fuse or to the bulb? I see that when you connect to the bulb you connect it to the positive terminal of the bulb. So do i just take off the positive terminal from the battery and then connect it to the wire from the alarm module?

I know that my honda civic uses negative trigger to actuate the door locks, but what and where is the side door negative switch.

what is the puple engine check-up wire? Where is it wound. I see it wound to some wires but I dont know where. Any help?
and also do I connect the factory ignition wires to the alarm wires and then connect the alarm wires to the ignition
OR
do I just connect the alarm wires to the ignition wires.

I know this is a lot of questions but I need help real bad. Please help me. Please ask me if you do not understand the wording.

for the first question : the coil is the High Voltage Coil that supplies high voltage to the spurk plugs.
the relay on the photo is normaly supplied with the alarm, if not you must add it . it's for the engine ignition cut off .
the red wire is for 12v constant supply voltage to the device. you must connect this wire to the 12v constant in your car acording to the wiring information given by twelvolts. the 12v constant is on the ignition harness (ignition switch) behind the steering column. for the parking lights (direction lights) connect the alarm wires to the proper wire on the fues board you have the wire you have to connect on according to the wiring information we just tolk about.
for the door trigger it's wire is on the door kick panel (normaly) on the driver side. this switch is that black little switch on the frame you can see whene you open the door.
for the last question the photo is not clear enouth .

yes the relay is supplied.
one of the green wire on the relay goes to the +ve, another one is connected to the white which then goes to what it says Key on.
What is this key on. Is it on1 or on2 on the ignition harness?
