Hello all.

Sort of revisiting an old thread that I searched on regarding the Nissan BCM and factory keyless system, and now I've come across the same thing. Here's the deal:

2005 Nissan Altima SE-R with factory keyless (has the dual anti-pinch window system). Came in for a 2-way alarm upgrade. So I installed a Scytek Astra 777 - everything went well, including the double-pulse unlock to disable the factory alarm. I had to tap the WHITE/ blue and pink/blue in the driver's door to be able to get the lock/unlock, and therein lies the new problem.

It was posted about a year ago, but no one answered... When the Astra locks the doors, the pulse (set to one second, which is the factory default in programming mode. The only other option is 3 seconds.) causes the windows (front D+P) to raise about an inch. When I press the unlock button, the double pulse causes the front windows to drop down twice, an inch each time.

Now, I know that the pulse on the Astra is definitely not 3 seconds long (required by the Nissan BCM to cause the window movement), but I'm thinking that maybe it latches on that negative pulse for too long internally???

So the dilemma and a possible solution: I'd like to keep this alarm in the car and keep all functions, but I'd like to shunt the windows form doing anything while the lock/unlock pulses are sent by the 777. So, unless someone can tell me that I'm missing something obvious, my idea is to use two relays, using the (-) lock/unlock outputs to trigger a disabling of the two front power windows... Do I really have to go through with all of this? Please tell me otherwise!

Thanks in advance.

not sure how much advice i can offer here but i'm assuming that you are using the alarm arm and disarm wires to lock and unlock the doors right? if this is the case have you tried turning the lock/unlock pulse back to single pulse? directechs doesn't show anything about having to use 2nd pulse lock/unlock. you could try using a jumper and hitting the wire to a ground for a second to test it. again, i'm sure you have already tried this but thought i would try to help. also, i saw that it has a 5 wire system for the lock/unlock motor so couldn't you just wire 2 relays up for those wires to lock/unlock. good luck!

Hello,
I believe that simply tapping the motors would cause the factory alarm to trigger upon unlock, and not arm during lock... I'd like to keep the factory security intact.

** bump **

I called Scytek today... found out that I could program lock/unlock pulse to just 0.1 second. That will take care of it!!!

Thanks for listening :)
