my friend jsut called me (i did a starter alarm in her saturn 4 years ago) and said that her car does not start. i listened over the phone and it is cranking. she also said that the security light is flashing so it sounds like a passlock issue. what is the process for getting it out of long term lock up?

it used to be turn the key in the run position and let it set for 20 to 25 minutes and then try and start the car with the key. is that the correct procedure still?

Yes, I think you only need to leave in the run position for 10 min or so.
