Hello

I am in the need of help, I have a 2003 mustang gt with a viper 350v alarm. I realize i need a relay to hook up the trunk pop. I found the trunk pop wire (purple w/ yellow) to tie into. I do believe i found the wire that comes from the brain RED / white wire. Although i am not sure what type of relay i should use? Also i was using a multimeter on the red w/white wire and i could not get anything to read when testing it.

Any help or info will be great.

Thanks

david

It should read approx 250ma on your Meter

SPDT ( Single Pole Double Throw ) Relay:

PIN 87 =Constant 12 volt ( + )
PIN 87a = XX
PIN 30 = TRUNK Wire
PIN 85 = Negative Trunk Output fromUnit
PIN 86 = Constant 12 volt ( + )

Depending on your Meter:
Be sure you Meter is on MA or OHM
One side of Meter to GROUND
Other side of Meter to Trunk Output Wire.
Press Trunk Button on Remote
If your Viper is Functioning you should get a reading

I will have to check it again. I beleive that was how i was testing it as my meter does have MA and ohm. I was not getting anything. I don't have a wiring diagram off the viper 350 but ready some other diagrams off other viper alarms the trunk or aux output was the red and white wire which I found not hooked up to anything. Could it be another wire?

Thanks again.
