I have a 2003 Ford Explorer that I just purchased that has a remote start installed. It's an Audiovox system, however I believe it uses the Ford remote to start it.

The car was being photo inspected by Meinekee last week, where the technician hit a few buttons and was able to start it. Only trouble is, he forgot which buttons he pressed at the same time. The alarm on it is the ford factory one, with the door lock/door unlock buttons and red emergency button and rear glass button.

The dealer I bought the truck from had no idea there was a remote start in it.

Would any here have any idea on which buttons might have been programmed for this?

try hitting the lock button 3 times.  That's the most common way of using the factory tansmitter to activate an r/s

with audiovox it either works with lock three times or lock- unlock- lock. or unlock-lock-unlock.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

wow I learned something new. It uses the same button routine as putting a dei system into valet mode.
