im about to do a  2005 tahoe and i've never heard of this module needed (457G). can i just use  a DLS module! Also am i to take the rear quter panel out to find the door locks. Also can i use the dome light for door triggers to avoid going to each door with diodes.

the 457g is the module for the databus door locking system as well as factory arm disarm. a module such as the 555l will be needed for the passlock chipped key security system.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
