Not sure if this is the right forum for this but...

I never did get a reply as to what after market door locks were good or not good so I took a chance and ordered these door locks
Seems like a nice kit, anyway long story short, I will NEVER buy after market again! Not blaming the company though. Just that these 5 wire types are such a pain to set up. YOu have to make sure both sides are set up perfectly other wise neither works right and trying to figure out which one it is is even worse of a pain. Needless to say I borked one side and now have to order a new actuator. I had a hard time finding a good place in my bug to install the actuator and of course the place I installed it in ended up not working out and i cut the bar to much to often and now I'm stuck with ony one side working. I'm just letting off steam :)

Didn't see your other post but if you ever have to work on another aftermarket actuator installation, get the 2 wire actuators instead because it's much simpler to work with and also the 5 wire actuators are meant for 4 door vehicles ( but you can use them on 2 doors but more wiring headaches ) as you know.

Thanks for the info, I'm not sure sure it's the wiring per say. The problem I was having is it is the type that when one door unlocks, the other one unlocks also. When I initially hooked them up both doors repeated locked and unlocked indicating it was out of adjustment. I never could get either one adjusted right. The wiring was a breeze really. Very easy color for color. It was the adjustment I found very hard and frustrating.

Anyone in need of a brand new door lock actuator with the parts? I went to Home Depot and found some steel rod stock same gauge and used that and finally got the locks to work properly...of course NOT before I ordered a whole new actuator lol.
