HI there, does any one know how to make a "Power Window Module" work? I can't figure it out. Im trying to install this on a 96 Toyota Camry with Power Windows so everytime I set the Alarm the Windows roll UP. It is supposed to work with the alarm's (-500mA) output wire & I know the Unit works because I can hear the relays iside the little module work everytime I arm the Alarm. I need help..... ---ThanX

Hi tlalocrain, you should have instructions with the unit you purchased but each looks similar to this:
Make sure you have your motor sides and switch sides connected properly. If they are reversed, the windows will still work, but the module will not function. For your trigger, you can also use the door lock output from the alarm. ( may require diodes) If you need more help, let us know. the12volt

Hey, LOVE the site, extremely helpful. I am about to install taht window roll up module. And i plan to use the door lock output from my alarm to the window module input. And use the channel 2 negative triggered output of my alarm to go to a window module for roll down. How do i know if i need diodes at the door lock output or not?? and is the alarms door lock ouput okay to send signal to the window module and to the door locks?? And do i also need a diode for my channel 2 ouput, going to the window module for roll down?? If so, how big of a diode do i need?? and do i just place it in series with the alarms output?? let me know, thanks!!

You have to test the window modules to make sure that they are do not need a 3 second latched output. If they do need a latched output then the door lock wire will not be good enough as it is only a 1 second pulsed output. Anytime you are using a single wire to power to devices I would use a relay instead of a diode to isolate bothe wires. This will ensure that you will not get any feedback signal into each device and also this will eliminate any chance for the diode to burn out. ------------- Jeff

Hey Jeff, thanks for the reply....... How can i test the modules to see if they need a 3 second latched output?? So if i put a relay on the door lock output wire, it wont be nessacary to test my module for 3 second latched output AND it wont be nessacary to use a diode after my door lock output??? It the above is true, then all i need is a relay after my alarm on the output wire for my door lock and one for my door unlock?? How can the relay be used to isolate the wire going to the window module and the wire going to the door lock or door unlock relay?? Do i use the "connecting additional devices the the remote turn on lead" relay?? And connect both the appropriate door lock wire and the window module wire to 30 on the relay?? Thanks for your help!

oh, my mistake above...... i dont plan on using the "door unlock" output from my alarm to trigger a seperate window module. I meant to say the auxilary output of my alarm, which is hooked up to channel 2 of my remote, will be used for the seperate window roll down module. Do i need a similar relay on the auxillary output, just like the one needed for my "door lock" output from my alarm?? thanks!

Attach the wires to their appropriate places and test the modules. If the modules roll up all the way, then you know that the auxilary wire is a latched and not a pulsed. If you are to use just the auxilary output of the alarm to activate the power window control modules, then you won't need the relay at all. ------------- Jeff

ok, i am assuming that i should test the door lock output of my alarm, the same way. Now if my door lock ouput is pulsed and my module needs a latched output, how can i hook up a relay to my door lock output, so when i arm my alarm, the windows roll up all the way with the module? Do i just hook up a spdt relay to the door lock output wire, the same way as if i was adding multiple components to my remote wire from my deck? Or is there a special way i need to hook up the relay, so i can run my door locks and my window module, OFF OF my alarm door lock output??
