Can anyone assist me.... I have a 1991 240sx, with power locks..factory. Actuators on both doors. When i lock the doors I have to hold the handle up...If i dont the door will remain unlocked. I would like to have the doors lock off my alarm...Commando 520-s. I am having difficulty setting up the appropriate wiring. Can anyone tell me if it is a negative...positive...3 wire...system? And which diagram on the 12 volt would apply. Thanks for your assistance on this matter.

Have you tested the lock when the door is closed ? The situation that you describe is a safety feature from Nissan & Honda so you don't accidentally lock your keys in the car.

yes, when the door is closed flipping one of the doors locked will automatically trigger all doors to lock and vice versa....I am absolutley sure both have actuators, as using the key to open either door triggers the opposite to open as well. So again what does this tell me ?...which type of switch system do I have....and can you recommend a wire diagram to hook this system up? Thank you for your assistance... p.s. good to speak with another manitoban!! I was from winnipeg...8 years in cali now.

Actually in regard to your last statement how do you test the doors? Cut the door lock wire when the doors are closed? which is supposed to be black and orange on this car...from what i have researched.

First, go in the kick panel and find the ORANGE / black wire, and get ready to test it.
--All the time that the doors are unlocked, the wire should show a ground.
--All the time that the doors are locked, the wire should be dead.
If you really want to make sure it's the right wire.....
Take a piece of jumper wire, with a fuse for safety; preferably a small fuse like 5 amps or so.
Lock the doors. Put one end of the jumper wire to ground, and touch the other end to the ORANGE / black.
If the doors unlock, it's the right wire. If the doors do nothing or the fuse blows, it's the wrong wire.
By the way, this lock system is only seen on a few cars, and is often referred to as a "Type F" system. There should be instructions in the alarm's install manual, or on this website we're on now.
You'll need to supply a ground to the wire to unlock the doors, and use a relay to interrupt (break) the wire to lock.

i did door lock on one there right to the top left of the kick use two relays
