for the first time i am shopping for a different alarm instead of DEI (b/c crazily cheaper)
I noticed that Code Alarm and Prestige has the exact wiring color as DEI. I havent look at any more alarm , but could it be a coincidence or are these the universal color?
(like brown siren output, green neg door trigger, BLACK/ white dome, etc.)

Most Alarm Companies are following a Universal wire Code like the Stereo  & Kit Market

Prestige and DEI wiring colors are nothing alike.

siren output  DEI=brown  - Audiovox=WHITE/ black

- door trigger   DEI=Green -  Audiovox=Brown

Domelight  DEI=BLACK/ white  - Audiovox=GREEN / WHITE

and so on

Although they do have something in common        Red=12v  and  Black=ground

ieSpell rocks.
