I just replaced the 555l with a 457g passlock bypass in my 01 tahoe and now my truck won't start with the key. I can remote start it and take over with the key but when I try to just start it with the key, the dash lights come on and the starter does not engage at all. I already had the door locks, dome lights, ect connected to the alarm without the 457g so I did not connect all of the wires, just the black, red, violet, and blue/white of the main harness and the pink/black and pink of the small harness. I believe that the 457g is remaining in the open position and not detecting when the key is turned to allow the starter wire to close. Do I need to hook up one of the other wires to the ignition so it can detect the key input? Thanks for any help with this problem

Check the Pink / Black & Pink for Reverse wires

Thanks for the help, that wasn't the problem, but it did help in figuring it out. I just didn't pay close enough attention to the differences in the wiring between the 555l and the 457g.
