I just got COMPUSTAR 2W900FM-AS. Does anyone has any wirring diagrams on this alarm/car specific? Also, do I need to buy  "immobilizer bypass module" for remote starter and turbo timer to work? If I do wich one do I need and where to buy one?

never heard of a compustar alarm....well kinda not a big brand you should go with a viper791xv thats what i have and all my friends have. as far as remote start make sure u wanna do it first because if u leave it in gear by accident........im sure can guess what will happen. as  for the immobilizer im pretty sure it might most new cars do, its most likely a chip in your key. if so u can use one of directeds bypass modules. do u have a spare key for the car thaty was cut by wall mart or anything if u do and the car starts there isnt an immobilizer.

actually the compustar is the best alarm for this vehicle, I also have one.  It lets you have the remote start and turbo timer installed with warranty because of their "reservation mode" and actually compatible with manual transmission.  True the Viper 791xv is also a good alarm with remote start and turbo timer but nobody is willing to install it on a manual transmission because of insurance issues and there is no "reservation mode" to prevent accidental starts.

Clifford now have a module which will allow the remote start units to work on manual vehicles safely.

You can bet your rear ends DEI will be doing ALOT more manual trans since their purchase of ASTROSTART....it's a part of the market they have missed out on for years...

As far as I know, they still haven't released it in the United States.
Its been available in Canada, as well as in Europe for a while.

To the original poster:
Yes, you need an immobilizer bypass. You can get a universal bypass that uses a spare key like a DEI 556U. You can also get a bypass that programs to the car and doesn't require a key like the PKU-MIT. Here is a link for info about it:
PKU-MIT

how was the install?  where did you get your compustar?  I am also interested with it for my evo IX mr and my IS but did not want to pay $2000 for two cars with the 2-way pager LCD and remote start for a 6-speed and one for an auto.  how did it work out? pictures would help?
