I've recently installed remote starters in two Grand Prix and a Dodge truck.I'm looking at the wiring diagram for the 4Runner and have a question on the door lock wires. They list power lock and unlock wires and lock motor and unlock motor wires do I have to use all these wires and if so do I need relays? The parking lights list + and - do I have to use both or can I use just the + and hook up a relay to it? The tach wire says it's located in the diagnostic plug on drivers side of engine compartment what should I look for . I have not had a chance to look at this truck yet so before they bring it over I want a head start. One more thing how do you get the horn to work on these remotes without having an alarm? I know first things first.

Thank You!
just need lock unlock wire. choose according to your module output the supply to feed parking light 1 of 2
the horn wire come from the steering column sometimes in air bag harness so know what you do if not explosion in perspective ...

Notes:
NOTE: Some models have an immobilizer system that needs to be bypassed during remote start. Use DEI module 555F or 555U to bypass. *1 lock wires are located in a 18 pin plug. Use key cylinder in passenger door to test. Lock is pin 14, unlock is pin 4, and door unlock detection switch is pin 13. *2 you must send ground to both wires and diode isolate. *3 located in a blue 12 pin plug. *4 located in the harness running to the rear of the vehicle. *5 behind drivers side junction block in a 13 pin plug. *6 drivers side firewall in a gray 26 pin plug. *7 *8 located in the diagnostic plug on the drivers side of engine compartment. *9 it is in a 22 pin plug in the drivers kick panel *10 This is the ignition key sense wire. Using the status output wire from the remote start to ground this wire will disarm the alarm without unlocking the doors.

Yes I'm Back 2006...
I've only done a couple of keyless door locks can you explain diode isolate and how to apply. I also noticed that theres a lock wire an unlock wire and unlock detection wire how do I apply those. The two Grand Prix I did I just connected the two output wires from the module to the lock and unlock , don't know about detection wire.
