How do alarm touch pads work (the 9 digit pads that keep the kids from stealing mom's car)? Does the code come with it? or can it be set by the owner.

those things are old. they can be re-set but you have to go through the company's tech line. a lot of them are out of business these days. i'd replace it.

dont bother with those units, do you have a problem with one or u liek to get one. have seen one in use in years came across them i jsut rip them right out.

It's actully not alarm related. I have a demo mode key switch for my audio system. I wanted to change it to the key pad instead.
