I have a Viper 550 remote start that has cause my 1993 Dodge Dakota truck not to start at all. When I try to start the truck the only thing that happens it the volt meter jumps, nothing works from the switch. The remote starter does nothing. I changed the water pump on my truck, but I don't thing I interrupted anything with the remote starter. I was going up a bridge when all of a sudden the truck started to speed up and when I applied the breaks, it strained the motor. I had to turn the motor off and coast down the bridge. When I tried to restart my truck nothing happened. There was a red light flashing in a clear rectangular shaped box with relays, but now it is not flashing. Is there a way to override the remote starter to start my truck another way?

just uninstall the remote start... and hook the wires backup the way that there supposed to try to start the vehicle if it doesent start then you have another problem on your hands...

is that and add on remote start only or is it an alarm also.
im not sure what the CLEAR box with relasy are.
