hey whats up, new to the forum...
alright so here's the problem, i installed a galaxy alarm/starter in a 1995 honda civic si(automatic)
the alarm works great but the remote starter is not working
i used the diagrams on the site and made the system learn the tach.. still no help
what happens is, i hit the remote start and engine turns over but doesn't catch....
do i need to add in a kill switch for the starter to engage? there's no mention of one in the instructions

try disconnecting the tach wire for tachless mode. Or it might be turning over and a sensor is getting triggered and shutting the system off with the movement of the car during the start.

Does the system have 2 red wires (about 12 gauge) next to each going into a white plug on the main brain housing along with some other color wires the same gauge ?. Do the red wires have fuses inline on them ?. I wonder if one fuse is blown. I had a similiar system distributed by Aamp Of America and the one 25A fuses on the red wire was blown. It would crank but never run. Replaced the fuse and it was good to go again. Jim ------------- 1968 Chevy II Nova Garage Find 2012

Sounds to me like theignition wire is not being powered up or the ground is not in a very good spot. If the tach programmed properly, thne it's something else that's not allowing the system to remote start. What tach wire did you connect to ? Ground ? IGNITION wires ?

the tach wire is connected directly to the distributor (blue wire, on 2 pin plug)
the grounds is at the fusebox, and the ignition is connected to the white ignition wire coming from the, ... umm ignition
i just starting to work on it soon, so i'll keep you guys posted
thanks again!!

The IGNITION wire on the 1995 Civic is BLACK / YELLOW not WHITE. The WHITE wire is the constant power.

The engine will still turn over if you have all the other wires hooked up to the RS unit. If you don't have the ignition it will crank but not start. ------------- Jeff
