Hello, I am trying to install an alarm in a 2002 Camry. Before I bring the car under the knife I want to make sure I have everything correct. I have a couple of questions while installing the viper791xv. In the H1 harness there is a (+) door trigger input (6). According to the diagram (https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=54) it says that the (-)door trigger input. The H1 harness has this trigger on wire (8). So I can connect the indicated wire (RED / Black @ ecu) to wire H1/8. So can I leave the H1/6 empty (remove) or do I have to add a diode for that connection? Also I noticed that there are so many wires that need a constant 12V. Can I connect them all to the same wire?! Seems like a lot (~5 wires all tapped into 1)? “H1/7 (-)multiplex input 4. inputs shorter then 0.8 sec will trigger warn away response, while inputs longer than 0.8 seconds will trigger full alarm sequence. If installing an opt. dei dual stage sensor, connect both blue & green wires of the optional sensor to this input. This wire will report zone 4.” Where do I connect this? Seems like I might have to connect to the siren? If I do does that mean I have to use a diode so it doesn’t mess up the H1/4 (connected directly to the siren)? Or do I just remove it all together? H1/9 (-)200ma domelight supervision output. Like the door trigger it is connected between the door trigger and door light. So where would this wire go? It is meant to drive a relay but not sure where it goes. H1/10 remote start (-) activation point. I assume that this needs to be connected to the hood pin? That can’t be right? Cause later there is another pin that needs to be connected to the same pin? H1/11 selectable light flash output. I connected to the red wire (-) in the steering column and also changed the jumper on the box to reflect that. (default is (+). Thank you for the help. I want to make sure I am on the right track. 1/6 You dont need the purple door trigger wire, (CUT it Off and tape it)
1/7 The blue wire is trunk pin
1/9 You dont need the black /white wire (unless you want to)
1/10 WHITE/ blue cut off and tape this
1/11 connet to neg parking light and dont forget to switch it over to neg
Connect all the 12v at the main harness and tape it good (do not wire them all into one wire then connect that wire to the main harness!!!)
All of these question could have been answered by reading the install manual to the 791xv (the part about wire description)

Thank you captainzab, I read the install manual and was not very sure if what i was doing is correct of not. That is why i posted here to make sure. I kind of got the impression that not everything will be connected but I want to make sure that it is correct the ones I do. I do not understand some of the lingo nor the proper procedures just trying to learn as we go. h1/6 is removed because I have h1/8 in its place. so h1/7 can acutally be placed on the door pin as well, so if a door was the open it would chirp before setting the alarm completely off? But it is most likely placed in the trunk pin? h1/9 is domelight supervision output. I have no idea what they means or what it does. I assumed that it just turns on the light. BUT it know it has to go through a relay, so I have no idea where it is suppose to go. H1/10, dont you need to have this installed to do the remote start? Thank you

the blue wire is meant for trunk because that is how it show up on remote
domelight means domelight will turn on when you unlock (use relay if u want to use this)(86 BLACK/ white, 87 ground, 85 12v, 30 output)
dont need the white blue cuz thats activation input , so cut it and tape it

Yeah, these guys are right.
--Purple wire is for cars with a positive-trigger domelight wire.....Fords, new Chryslers, and a few GMs. Since your Camry has a negative-trigger domelight, the purple isn't used.
--For door trigger, on the Viper's green wire, I would use the thin GREEN/ red in the ignition harness......it goes to the light around the key cylinder, which catches all four doors.
--zone 4/multiplex: That's for your trunk trigger. In the driver's kick panel there are five plugs.......in the lower plug that's toward the rear of the car, the small dark green wire is trunk trigger.
(By the way, the thicker WHITE/ blue in that same plug is your trunk release.)
--Dome Supervision: When your Camry is unlocked with the remote, as long as the engine is OFF, the domelight comes on anyway, so there isn't all that much need to hook this up.
If you want the Viper's domelight supervision feature, you can use it to trigger the domelight with a relay, as captainzab describes.
Or, connect the Viper's domelight output directly to one of the Camry's individual door pinswitch wires, and the relay will not be needed.........driver's-front pinswitch wire is RED / black, on the side of the fuse box.
--Activation input. Whenever you ground this wire, the remote starter turns on. This is for when you want to use some other, external device, to activate the remote start. Not needed for ordinary installations.
--Parking lights: I usually grab parking lights as green, positive, at the bottom of the fusebox......your brake wire is there as well.
But, if the red wire you found in the steering column tests as a ground when you turn the lights on......and you connected the Viper's white wire there......and moved the jumper to the negative position.....that is correct.
