I put an Alpine 8040 in a 1994 GMC Sierra pickup, everything works great except the power locks.I've wired the relays up three different ways but still keep blowing the courtesy fuse when I arm the alarm.Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks.

  • 5 wire (type C) on the two door models
  • positive trigger (type A) on the four door and keyless entry models.

Which one do you have ??

So you have a Type C system that you will need to use 2 relays and wire it up like this diagram:5 Wire Alternating 12 Volts Positive Door Locks
