i have installed this alarm before with the remote start on my cavalier but i did some searching and it looks to be a little harder with the sequoia. do you need the bypass from bypasskit.com "TBKIV" to make the remote start work or is there another way?

the 2004 sequoia does need a bypass, but the TBKIV requires you to give up a key. If you know there isn't a bypass kit that doesnt require you to give up a key to use, then purchase the TBKIV and throw in a key.
FYI, its the same thing as the 556U by directed or the 791 by bulldog.
I recommend getting whichever is cheapest because its gonna cost you to get a new key to replace the one you have to place in the bypass
