I dont know how true this is....

Im prepairing to install this on mt 89 Blazer. The description for this wire is H1/3 WHITE/ blue remote start (-) activation input:

"This input comes from the factory set to 2 activation pulses. This means that it is neccessary to have 2 consecutive ground pulses on the WHITE/ blue wire from the remote start to activate or to deactivate. The same hold true for the remote control activation when set to a two pulse setting it is neccessary to press " * " button twisefor the remote start to activate or deactivate."

So I too would like to know where to stick this wire. First instinct would tell me to mount it on the ground. Anyone care to toss up some possibilities

that wire is for an "external" source only. such as gps reciver that is control by a cell phone. audio vox has a gps reciver that is control buy a phone you can call it and it can start you call by the WHITE/ blue wire.
the defult is indeed set at 2 if you change it you will cahnge the WHITE/ blue input and the button on the remote.

Right, exactly what swamprat said.

--If you ground the wire twice in a row, the remote starter will turn on.

--If the car is already running, and your foot is off the brake.......ground the wire twice in a row will turn the remote starter on, allowing you to remove the key, exit the car, and leave it running.

If you're creative and trying to do something crafty, and you want some other, external device to control the remote starter, that's what the activation input is for.

If you would like to have a convenient button to engage the remote starter's "pit-stop" mode so you can jump out and leave the engine running, yes, you could install any type of momentary switch (such as a spare valet switch), and set it up so that the activation wire gets pulsed when you press the button.

If you are just doing a regular, nothing-special type of install, the activation input doesn't get used at all.
