I'm trying to install a BulldogSecurity remote starter in a 1998 Saturn SC2.  All if fine except connecting to the Factory Disarm.  There is supposed to be a lighter gauge pink wire, probably in the driver's kick panel.

I'm having problems finding the correct wire.  There are many bundles of wire in that general area, almost all have a lighter weight pink wire, but none of them test out right.  There is supposed to be a yellow w/ black ground wire for the factory disarm system.  I found one, and in the same bundle there is a lighter gauge pink wire so i hooked they remore starter to that---but the car alarm still goes off and the car doesn't crank.  Any guidance?  I called BulldogSecurity but they said they had to research it, and never called back.

Thanks for any help.

Bulldog had to research it??? Thats pathetic for customer support.

You still need to continue using the factory remote since the alarm passively arms. Their is no factory alarm disarm for the 96-98 Saturn alarms. You need to interupt the pink ignition wire going to the factory alarm brain located in the trunk. The last few I have done I got the wire in a taped up harness under the back seat. Its on the passenger side and is about 18 gauge.

You also need to tap into the car's starter wire after the factory starter kill located high up under the drivers dash. The relay has 3 or 4 yellow wires going into it. You have to connect to the thick yellow.

Thanks.  The booklet made it sound like one simple attachment under the dash.
