I need some ideas to tell my intaller for my aux outputs. Is it possible to set it up to control aftermarket radio volume? Or I have a musical horn would it be possible to sound a certain horn with the remote. BTW I am getting a Viper 791XV.

If your car has factory window role up / down, your aux channel can be used for that.
No it cant control radio volume, lol. But he can sound that musical horn using a relay.
Trunk release is a must, if you didnt have that in mind already.
Or you can use the 530T for window up/down
Hope that gives you some idea

i think you still need the 530T,
unless if you can stick your key in the door and get all the windows to roll down, or hold down lock to see if all the window roll up

I was thinking of that too but the I'm pretty sure the Viper 791XV comes with parking light flash. Is that not what you were talking about?

he means use like channel 6 to have your head light turn on for 30sec (or 60, or 90)
got to use a relay, and change over to the timed

ya i think im def going to do windows (up and down), my musical horn thing if possible, and maybe the headlights deal. How much extra do you think the installer would charge for putting the relays in and hooking all that up to the aux input. BTW what does a relay do?

straight up, a relay is a switch (on and off thingy)
most are rated at 30a/40a, better than a conventional switch rated at a lower amp. It also doesnt require alot of amp to cause the switch (87 to 30)
price- depends on the place. i could care less, and probably do the relay stuff for free (i usually do when it comes to trunk release)
But the 530T, is different, pain in the butt to run the wire through the door and through the boot. Charge you big!

They already told me it was st8 up 100 dollars installed extra for the window module on top or 495 for the viper 791xv installed. Am I getting ripped off even though this way I will get the lifetime warranty. I can get one on ebay for 200 bucks. Is it really worth the extra 300 for install and warranty?

We did actuators to release the tailgate. It was on an 05 titan that had airshocks to make it not drop down abruptly. It was pretty cool to roll up to home depot and pop the tailgate...
