Instead of going to the tan&tan/red wire for the door triggers, couldn't i just go the the yellow wire in the brown plug since that's the interior light wire?

you dont need to know, just answer his question
well, the interior light wire could be used. Make sure it catches all the door, even if the switch is moved to off. most of the time, when you turn it off, it wont tell the alarm when door open (older cars)

well captainzab I see your inexperience. the reason we in this forum need as much info as we can gather is to help him out. example: are you installing a basic alarm or remote start? What year is your Intrepid? He did not mention that. If he is doing a remote start or a basic alarm then there is a module that will save him time on the install.plus the wiring differs depending on the year of the car.

Yes,the yellow wire is the dome light and it does pick up all the doors.I forgot to mention that it's a delayed dome light circuit meaning that once you close any on the doors,it goes out about 30 sec after. So if i go to just the domelight wire, since it has that delay,if i arm the system, won't it read that the domelight is still on and give me a zone not ready notice?

Im not sure about the clifford arrow 3, but usually you do get an extra chirp when you arm notifying you that the door isnt close (b/c of domelight delay). I know that with some alarm you can turn off the notification chirp. Not sure about yours.
