I have a used Intelliguard 8000 that I am thinking of installing in my cherokee.....   Before I do, I have a couple of questions:  How good is this unit,,, should I use it or upgrade before I install....   How do I know what all features it has?  I have looked at Cliffords site, but the optional items are what I am wondering about....  I have the control unit, a dual zone proximity sensor, siren, wiring, and antenna...   Does it have the Intellistart?     I'm thinking I will install it,,, try to get the warranty in my name,,, then use it till it quits and then upgrade at that time,,, but ???   Any input is appreciated!!!!   Thanks in advance!!

Here's a feature chart:

Intellistart is optional... you're best using the IS4 module with this alarm. And yes, go ahead and install it - it's a great alarm if you don't need paging capability. If it works from the start, then chances are it'll never quit if it's installed right.

all the clifford g4 models are the best !!! make sure you have the code before installing, if you don't you better find out !! you need the code for the blackjack feature and programming !!

Thanks guys!!!   I got the code using the Wizard software...  Spent 1 day wiring and mounting everything...  It took me a little bit to get the proximity sensor to work without false alarms, but after locating it in the center console, everything works great!!!   So far, I am very happy with it....
