Hi i recently installed some DEI doorlock actuators into a ford f150, and i was checkin ebay and all of the actuators look the same, but that doesnt mean the quality is the same obviously. So i was wondering what brands of actuators have people used and the quality of them and how they compare tot he dei branded ones.

The cheapest ive seen dei for is about $12 each, where as ebay sells 4 for $12, does the dei cost more for a reason (you get what you paid for) or are they exactly the same as the ebay 4/$12 one just renamed and overpriced?

Even the generic ones look exactly like dei one on the inside (the 2 wire actuators) I think there is one big manufacturing company that sells them to other company to stamp it as thier own. And i dont think there is a difference at all. (if there really is, i havent noticed it and my customers)

I've bought the cheap ones from Parts Express.   They have worked flawless for the last 3 years.  I paid about $2 each.
