hello , i have a 2000 ford expedition that i just got and im having a problem  ,it seems that someone installed a ignition cut off derived of the pats system ,it has a remote control  like this
posted_image

i have to press the upper button once and the red theft light in the cluster goes off normally when i try to start the car and the car fires normally , once the car shuts off it rearms in 45 secs and if i dont press it before i try to start the car the theft light just blinks and the car wont start  , i looked everywhere for a bypass module or a remote starter or something that looks aftermarket but i cant find none and there is not even signs that the car had an alarm before, no wires cut or nothing,

is anybody familiar with this setup or has info on this , i need to take it out , thanks

I never seen before the key fob you show, but is look like a key fob "transponder jammer" this vehicule have already transponder (PATS(passive antiteft system)) inside the key.

If your vehicule security light flashing rapidly in your dash board is means thats the vehicule factory security system is active. It cant also means the vehicule do not reconize the vehicule key. So is possible your system "jam" the factory transponder.

Replace the starter relay under the hood. The module is built into the relay.

audiovox sells a similiar device, It is simply a remote controlled relay. The last time I checked it was only sold at new car dealers, but that may have changed
