first question is why is it not recommended to cut the ignition circuit on vehicles 2000 or newer?
second question is on car with a dynamo and a mechanical voltage reg. can you wire a dual immobiliser alarm on to it and how? compared to a regular alarm?
this may seem like a stupid question but why would you need to for starters and alarms you only need to strip and solder not cut the ignition wire but it shouldn't make a difference if you cut it just make sure when you resolder you dont cold solder it that will cause you much grief
for a dual immobiliser alarm usually you cut the starter wire and the ignition wire. my apprentice has a test to do and these were two questions on there and i dont know the answers to. just wanting to know if anyone knows what the answers are. I took the mecp test in the U.S. and this one is a lot harder then that one even though you can use the book

First question is good, if you cut ignition wire on any vehicule, any year for your STARTER KILL or you SECURITY SYSTEM you take more risk for futur problem if ever you system broke when people or customer drive, the vehicule could be have accident because you loose power steering, power bake and vehicule can be stop in middle of the road or highway...
2-If you just cut the starter wire is just cut allow to start vehicule not for powered a lot of electronics modules in vehicule.
yes but the question was specific to cars 2000 or newer. i was thinking it would have something to do with diagnostics or the ecu but i dont know why. i have does quite a few 2000 or newer cars and I cut the ignition wire and over here we have two immobilisers as a standard thing. I know you can just cut the fuel pump wire instead which is usually in the bottom sill but the question is why?
