heres the scenario, 04 trailblazer basic alarm keyless, 457g. locks work fine when used passively through the remote, but when alarm is set to active lock and arm, the front two doors dont lock!, the rest do along with the tailgate(after 5 wireing the lock), anyone run into this problem, this is a first time for me, bad 457g? but it works when you passively arm and disarm, weird huh> alarm is audiovox 15ch thanks

Hi,
I got the same, I heard some Traiblazer having the same problem too. To fix that problem just replace the 457g by a GM-SL VR 4.9 made by Fortin Electronics.

I think it's possible you have the two terms reversed:

Active: Press the button on the remote. (You, the person, have to be "active" and touch the button.)

Passive: Close the door and let the car arm itself. (You, the person, can be passive and do nothing.)

That being said, it is possible to go into the programming menu and set Active Arming on, but Active Locks off.

If that is the way the alarm is programmed, it will arm all by itself, but the doors won't lock.
