Can anyone give me a heads up on how to hook up a normally open starter interrupt?

I'm trying to find a "(-) when disarmed" on the compustar CM3000. I see the "(-) when armed" on pin#5 on connector#1.

Is the only way to get a "(-) when disarmed" to hookup another relay off of that "(-) when armed" output?

Thanks

Thanks dea,can

Q: does your black widow give a (-) out on the BLACK/ red when disarmed ?

Unless I'm missing something the only alarm status output I see on the compustar is the (-) out when *armed* (I need the opposite)

That being said I'm new to the game so please correct me where I'm wrong

There is no wire on the Compustar that does what you want.

Do you know what a normally OPEN starter kill is?

If the alarm brain is unplugged, the starter kill stays active. The alarm must be disarmed before a (-) signal is sent to the relay activating it (connecting 30 and 87 together) which allows the car to start.

Old Alpine alarms had this option, and newer DEI systems like the Python 900 have this option. Compustar does not.

Thanks for the replys...

as has been stated... the compustar cm3000 doesn't (appear) to have a "(-) when disarmed" output necessary to (easily) achieve a normally open stater kill. Instead it has a "(-) when armed" output.

Is there a workaround to achieve a normally open starter kill on a compustar?
