Hey guys,

I have a 1997 Nissan Sentra with a Crimestopper CS-2011 IV alarm hooked up to it.  I have the remote start relay hooked up to the BLACK / YELLOW wire.  Apparantly these cars have two starter wires that need to be hooked up.  My question is when I hook the other relay up to the BLACK/ Blue wire, do I have to put a diode across the coil (terminals 85 and 86).  The reason I'm asking is the Crimestopper relay base has what looks like a diode in heatshrink across these terminals.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Erick

Ok.  I hooked up the second relay independent of the first relay.  When I push the remote start button, the engine cranks and tries to start but doesn't.  If I manually start the vehicle with the key and then push the remote start button, I get the chirp confirmation and I can remove the key and the engine stays on.  Obviously, I did something right because it works halfway.  What do I need to different, to get the vehicle to start without the key?

Thanks,

Erick

I hooked up the alarm both tach and tachless and achieved the same results.  Should I hook up both the starter wires through the same relay?  Also, my accessory and ignition wires are hooked up correctly.

Really quick.  Does anyone know if the 1997 Nissan Sentra GXE comes standard with an anti-theft system?  If so, this could be my problem.  What would it look like?
