I'm trying to install a remote start and alarm using the factory keyfob to turn both of them on and off. I've already got most of the info I need by searching, (this site is great!  ) but can't find where this part is located in the vehicle and the wiring for it.
I will need to disable the ignition input to the Door Control Receiver so the fob still allows you to unlock the doors when the system has been remote started, but still keeps the doors unlocked when the remote start is off and the key is in the ignition. I plan on using a relay and output from the remote start when on.
The car does not have the chip key, so I don't think I'll need to use the keysense wire blue (-). But I'm not sure about that until I actually install the system.
And yes I know that an aftermarket remote start or alarm has a much greater range, but I don't need that and will probably add a telematics system to control the car over a phone from a distance.
Anybody have info on a 2006 RAV4 Sport "Door Control Receiver"? Thanks

I don't believe what you're trying to do is possible.
I was fooling around with the Door Control Receiver on a 2007 Camry----most likely, it's the same part that's on your RAV4.
The door control receiver has only four wires. Constant, ground, data RX (receive), data TX (transmit).
It communicates with the rest of the car only by data signal, so there is no ignition wire to interrupt.
I tried to see what would happen if I cut just one of the data wires............with one of them cut, it doesn't work at all...........with the first one hooked back up, and the other one cut, it works, but still only if the engine is off.
Ever since Toyota started building the remotes into the ignition key......starting with the Camry and RAV4, the local dealer I do business with has been asking if there's any way to keep that remote working when the remote starter is on..........so that's why I tried. I don't think it's possible, but if you find a way, please let me know!
As far as the keysense, that's used for disarming a factory Toyota alarm, but is NOT necessary if you only have a chip key, but no alarm.
Anyway, all the RAV4s I've seen so far have had no chip keys or alarms.

Thanks for the quick response.
There are only 4 wires? In that case, which one is shuttng it off when the key is in the ignition? IF there is only constant and ground, and the Rx and Tx are used to commmunicate with the fob, then how it the unit told not to communicate with the fob? Is the power being cut off, or is the signal being somehow sent back to the main ECU and it's stopping the communication?
Do you know here it is located, I can't find it?

I would assume those data lines carry whatever information is necessary.........the commands for lock, unlock, panic, or whatever.
As far as the hows and whys of the keyless not working when the ignition is on, I don't know.
I could imagine two possible scenarios:
A. The door control receiver functions at all times, but the integration relay (part of the fuse box) simply ignores the commands from the door control receiver, whenever the ignition is on.
B. The integration relay "tells" the door control, via the data line, that the ignition is on, and that it should ignore the remote.
Regardless of how it operates.........you could try and test EVERY wire at the fuse box.......make a note of ALL the wires there that test as ignition.........try cutting them one at a time, see if the remote works, put that wire back together, cut another one.......
Chances are, even if it works at all, the ignition wire you cut will probably also interrupt other important functions.
On a 2004 Sienna, I managed to interrupt an ignition wire at the fusebox, and I got the Toyota remote to work even when the remote start was running............and then I discovered that there were all kinds of warning lights on the dash, and the climate controls weren't coming on. Not much point to having a remote start if it won't allow the heater to work!
TIP: The simple act of having the key inserted in the ignition will also keep the keyless from working, regardless of whether the ignition is on or off.
If you are going to fool around with this, or experiement or whatever, you have two choices before you start:
1. Install the remote start, get it working, do NOT connect anything to the RAV4's keysense........do your experiments by starting the car with the remote start, NOT by using the key.
OR
2. On Toyotas, the keysense wiring is typically a separate, 2-pin plug at the ignition switch. Temporarily unplug it.

Thanks, but cutting each and every line is not an option I'm willing to undertake  , but I still won't give up yet.
I had talked with a bud at work and he mentioned that if the RF is just shutting off when the key is in the ignition then the RF box is probably still working and it doesn't need to shut down, which is as you also mentioned in option A.
I'm still constantly searching and I found this link here
that mentioned a function of the wireless door lock system in a Tundra with the RS3200
Transmitter Switch Misoperation Prevention Function - When an ignition key is in the ignition key cylinder or any of the doors is not closed completely, the wireless door lock remote control is temporarily cancelled to prevent misoperation.
The only difference is that in the RAV4, the doors unlock if the key is in the ignition (new feature?), and the key won't work if the car is on, I haven't tried the remote with the key in the ignition but the car off.
So unless the integration relay is also shutting down response to the keyfob, maybe if I end up cutting the keysense line with a relay (during remote start operation) I can get this to do what I want.
Looks like it will be trial and error, I know I can get the system installed, but if I can't get this to work, I'll just have to open the door the old fashioned way when I use the remote start (just like the factory system  . I still have a few more days before most of my parts get here, I have the alarm, but waiting on the remote start equipments.
Do you have any other info on your option B? (The integration relay "tells" the door control, via the data line, that the ignition is on, and that it should ignore the remote)
I'm an electronics tech and pictures (schematics) are always easier for me to read.
I really want to get this to work, I know that I'm not the only one who wants this option.
