I just tried installing a Compustar 1WAM-A in my '99 BMW M3 Convertible.

I am unable to program the remotes by turning the ignition on and off 5 times then depressing the lock button on the remotes.

It seems I was required to wire a diode on the parking light - output, otherwise when you pushed the hazard light switch in the car the lights will continue to flash even thought the button is up.

Here is how I wired my car:

IGNITION sensing should be GREEN at the ignition harness. Make sure that this wire sees 12 volt switched otherwise the unit will not program. Also, you MUST toggle the ignition 5 times within 3 seocnds and press the LOCK button within this 3 second window otherwise it will not program. The wire you have the IGNITION  sensing may be right but your timing may be wrong.
