I'm trying to attach a scanner to my alarm. I'm having problems figuring out which wire to tap into for the yellow wire to the scanner. I've read some posts and they all mention a orange wire to the brain. I guess mine isn't the same as those mentioned. Here's a pic of my brain and setup. Can someone help me find out which wire to use?
Thanks in advance.

connect the scaner ground to the wire that has ground when the alarm is activated.

Connect it to the Yellow wire from your alarm.

i have a quick question...is the scanner supposed to turn on as soon as i turn off the car or when i arm the alarm? i was thinking that it was going to kick in when i turn the alarm on, but it turns on as soon as i turn it off. i just want to make sure that i did it correctly. will the scanner drain my battery since it's going to be on, or is it something that is drawing too little voltage to affect it? thanks again, i can always get good information on here.

the scanner turns on when I put the car in park or neutral as well. Is this supposed to happen? It turns off as soon as I put it in drive, but just curious as to why it would turn on when it does.

Put a 2nd diode inline between the brain and starter cutout relay. That should solve your problem. Have the striped ends of both diodes toward the brain, and the other ends of the diodes, one to the scanner and the other to the relay.

Should be. I have the problem you are speaking of, (except it didnt come on by just putting it in park). It was coming on whenever the key was turned off. After wiring it EXACTLY like in the picture above, all was fine. The scanner is only on when the system is armed. Let us know if this works for you.
