so in the new fords if the domelight turns on automatically when you remote start it, cant you just use a relay to open up the door circuit so the alarm doesnt see the door trigger?

On some of the earlier Ford Explorers you could catch a negative or positive door trigger. In this case you want to look for a negative trigger at each door and diode isolate from the BCM to avoid false alarms.
