well after figuring out the problem with my truck it turned out to be the alarm a autopage 750 now i need the best alarm out there n more than $500, i saw a stellar alarm??? any good alarms out there? i need it to do all kinds of good stuff alot of functions... thanx in advance

I like Ultrastart's 2 way 4560 alarm. It has built in shock that can be programmed from the remote, temp bypass by remote, and turned off from remote. Also has aux sensor input for prox sensor that can be temp bypassed or shut off from remote. translation - 75% less false alarms. Many other great features including program switch and leds in antenna so no drilling holes for led and program switch is always accessible. Programming menus are EXTREMELY easy to use, unit is very compact and clean to install. Check them out, www.ultrastarters.com and if you need it installed, we're listed on their site, Advanced Car Electronics. We also install Compustar here, they claim better range, but sacrifices ease of use and compact design. I have never had customer complain of ultra's range EVER. Ultra recently came out with a new 2 way remote design that is very nice. Any other q's, just ask. ------------- My rifle is my friend...

I paid $200 for audiovox aps-997a through summit and seen it cheaper later after i bought it.It has everything you could want. Check out the manual listed here on this site. Saved on install by doing myself, but I had to research and ask questions here.  . It doesn't have a temp sensor though, but it has extra inputs for more triggers,maybe a temp sensor. There are too many things that you can do with this alarm to list.

Yes it does try pressing the two buttons on the side of the Two-way remote.
The APS-997 is in my opinion a better unit than the viper 791XV. You can get it for about $150 on the net and save by doing it yourself. ------------- ieSpell rocks.

There are quite a few units out there that are BETTER than the 791XV, that seems to need alot of answers from this site. In my opinion....of course!
