I need help finding any information on an older viper alarm , it was pulled out of another car and i would like to install it but cannot find any information about it ( it almost seems that it doesnt exist ) the only information i can find on the brain is DEI RDDB, FCC ID: EZSDEI420-B, a sticker with the # 316785( serial # ?) on it ( which is also on stickers inside the brain and inside the remotes)and D501 printed on the circuit board in the brain . The dealer i talked to here says the FCC ID makes it a model 420B but i can find no documentation that that model ever existed on DEI's website ( and he says he is forbidden from releasing schematics to anyone but an authorized installer ) he also told me the manufacture date is sept 95 any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance for any input!

DEI has not change there wires in years so wont be to hard to wire up. but for programing and such may be differet. may be bette roff just buy a new one. Do you have remotes for the system? is tere a wire guide on back on the system?

i have the remotes and have figured out how to get it to work sort of ...there is no wiring guide on the back of it but i have figured out most of the wiring from looking at other diagrams ....... but the main difference is that instead of the BLACK/ white domelight wire there is a grey wire with a toggle switch attached that i assume is the valet. as well as two grn and two white wires comming directly out of the brain that arent attached to the h1 harness that i dont know what to do with .... as for buying a new one i dont really need the security there have just been a bunch of punks in the neighbour hood smashing windows and i just want something to make some noise so i can maybe catch the little bastards in the act lol so i figured if i could get this one ive had lying around for a while to work that would be good enough, ive already wasted enough $ on windows lol

call dei, give them those #'s and they can tell you what model alarm it is, then just pull up a wiring diagram or a install book offline, or ask someone on here w/ acess to send you a pdf

do you one 1 12 pin harness and 1 3 pin harness that may have ony 2 wiers coming out. that alarm dont have ports for led and valet

it has the 12 pin harnes but no 3 pin harness there is a plug on the side for a 3 pin but i think it is for accessories of some sort. the LED is attached to the red(+12V) wire on one side and to a blue wire on the other. the wires i am really not sure about are the 2 grn and 2 wht that are not part of the harness but rather connected directly to the brains board and come out of the casing along with a blk wire ( antenna? ) the valet is attached to a grey wire on the 12 pin harnes and grounded on the other end to the chassis it is a toggle switch not a push button but i assume it is still the valet

thanks Swamprat thats pretty much the one i have now it should b pretty simple to hook up. I really appreciate everybody's help and input.
P.S. Nouseforaname .... i totally agree with u but my vehicle is an 89 Cherokee and if i were to buy a new alarm it would b the only thing worth stealing in the truck...besides the stereo lol ;) i just need something that will make some noise and even if it only works for 6 mos thats long enough for the punks in the neighbourhood to think its alarmed and find someone elses windows to smash they have never stolen my headunit, subs, amp etc they just go through it looking for loose change and stuff
Thanks again everyone this has been a great help !!

Pretty good for a first install id say lol now i think i need to find something a little more difficult to try ;) neways thanks again
