Can anyone tell me if I can use the 555f bypass module on a 2001 toyota sequoia or do I need to use the 556u. Thanks in advance.

you can use either the 555X, 555F, or the 556U. The 555X and 555F do not require a second key to be left in the vehicle. Although DEI recommends using the 555X or 556U over the 555F.

The 555X takes too long to install, and there is too much cutting and splicing.....too much risk of damaging stuff.
The 555F will work, although getting that little pellet lined up just so, is a pain.
I would just go to howardkeys.com, hlflake.com, or ebay.com, buy the correct Toyota key for your car, and program it yourself. It isn't difficult, and you don't need to have the key cut to turn in the ignition.
Then you can just buy an ordinary bypass box like the 556U or similar, and plant the key in it.
You can also find an old-style Ford key, plant that in the 556U, and install it following the instructions for the 555F.
