Posted By: joelmessing Subject: Valet Remote Start, Wire diagram? Date Posted: August 05, 2006 at 12:06 PM I just purchased a DEI Valet remote start system 561T. I have read the installation instructions and they do nit specify where all the wires off of the 561t unit connect to. Does anyone have a simple digram of where each wire connect to? I am installing this unit in a 2000 Ford Explorer. I have also purchased a DEI 556U bypass system to incorperate into the system. Any help would be appreciated.

You lost me on the Yellow (-) ignition output. DO I have to connect the Pink/White ignition 2 output and the Pink ignition output in the 6 port byt not the Yellow (-) ignition output in the 9 port? Since I have a factory alarm system and am just using the 561t as an add on would this change anything? But your okay to connect both to the YELLOW on the ford. The Pink wire is output during remote start. The yelllow one is meant for a secuirty system if using the 561T as a remote start add on. Your ORANGE Accesory wire goes to the GRAY / YELLOW. There are 2 in the ford. Pick either one, but not both. WAIT, my bad. You need your WHITE/ blue wire activation input wire (sorry, thought this was the unit with the remote). Connect this to the lock or Unlock wire of the FORD. You can press lock lock or unlock unlock inorder to remote start. Your preference. ------------- Note: You Always Dont Get What You Pay For. ------------- Note: You Always Dont Get What You Pay For. Posted By: Chris Luongo Date Posted: August 06, 2006 at 12:22 AM Joel,
Are you aware that the factory remotes on that Explorer don't work when the engine is running? Once the car is remote started, you're going to have to use your key to unlock the doors. If you don't make ANY connection to the BLACK/ green second-accessory wire at the ignition switch, the factory remote WILL work when the engine is running, but the air conditioner WON'T blow cold; this wire triggers the AC compressor. So, if you'll only use it in the winter, don't power up the BLACK/ light green.............if you want to use it in the summer too, either buy a remote starter with its own remotes for start/lock/unlock, or live with the fact that your own remote won't work with the car running. Posted By: joelmessing Date Posted: August 06, 2006 at 8:20 AM Chris, Thaks for the info. I was not aware of that. Since I would like to use the remote start in the winter and summer I will keep the BLACK/ green second-accessory wire connected and use the key to unlock the door. Is this the same wire as the factory alarm disarm? Posted By: captainzab Date Posted: August 06, 2006 at 12:01 PM Factory alarm disarm is to disarm the factory alrm during the remote start stage so it does go off.
------------- Note: You Always Dont Get What You Pay For. Posted By: joelmessing Date Posted: August 06, 2006 at 6:41 PM Where does the 2nd Accessory wire connect to on the 561t?
Posted By: captainzab Date Posted: August 06, 2006 at 8:16 PM Your car doesnt have a second accesory so no need to hook it up.
------------- Note: You Always Dont Get What You Pay For. Posted By: re-spec Date Posted: August 07, 2006 at 7:02 AM are you adding this to a oem alarm or after market? just asking cause you might be able to use the status output wire.
Posted By: joelmessing Date Posted: August 07, 2006 at 7:36 AM I am just adding it to the OEM system. I would like to use the remote but the air and heat is the most important.
