Sounds like your car needs a by-pass. According to dirtechs, use the 555s.

Is this a manual or automatic vehicle ? If this is an automatic, then ensure that you have the bypass module hooked up correctly and that the starter wire is infact getting 12 volts when cranking.

Stick a key in the ignition, and try the remote starter again.

If it works now, you either failed to install a bypass, or installed or programmed it incorrectly.

I had seen in another forum about the red light above the 4 ways button and it flashes instead of being on constant when the car tries to start...any place special to get the bypass from??

Yeah, the red flashing light is the tipoff-----if it's flashing when the remote start turns on, that's your problem.

How many keys do you have? Please say you have at least two.......you need two existing Ford keys in order to program more of them by yourself......otherwise, you'll need to go to the dealer, or a locksmith with the right equipment.

In any event, two basic ways to do it:

--Buy a commonplace, key-in-the-box style bypass module.......Audiovox AS-TCBM, DEI 556U, bypasskit.com TBKIII are all the same idea. You will LOSE one of your keys; it goes inside the box.

--Go to bypasskit.com and see if they have something that doesn't require you to lose a key.

ok i got the 555 module and connected it..I can program it and it will start with the remote start on the first try after I rogram it..but then when I tried again after placing the sensor in the stearin colum it wont start and the red light flashes again...I can go through programming it again but when i place it in the colum same thing..and ive tried moving it all over inside near the sensor ring but it still wont start...in using a code alarm ca 610 alarm..anyone have an idea as to why im losing my code in the 555?

What kind of "555" are you using? You didn't mention the letter at the end.

If it's the 555F, getting that thing placed just right is a headache, which is why I don't use them.

And I'll bet you're not "losing programming".........don't reprogram anything, but just hold the pellet right in front of the keyhole and try the remote start again.......if it works correctly there, you know it's programmed and working right.

I took a pic of my instructions..ive tried the 2 wires on the remote start..the BLACK / YELLOW and the GREEN/ black..I went and tried again to see what whould happen if I placed the pellet infront of the key hole,it started the first time I programmed it...then i waited a bit and put it in front of the keyhole and it didnt start and the light was blinking again...heres a link to my setup..
