Hi everyone, is someone have already install a XR-22 remote starter ???

This remote starter is made by TRC (The Right Connection)

I buy that for my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan and begin the installation but not sure about somethings, first of all I read and learn alot from this forum because I was in this world (car electronics installation) in 1991 and time as changed !!!!!

Just want to be sure with you, here's the layout of my system and I'll tell you what I did, but forget the 12 volts, ground, pin switch ..... of course it's done !!!!!! https://www.trc12volt.com/XR22c.pdf

-I use only 1 ignition output.

-Starter out thrue 2 relays, 1 for second start (with 180 ohms to the ground) and the other one to the starter wire.

-Ingnition #2 and Accessory Output not connected

-Negative when running not connected

-Remote start activation input (-), to my bypass relay

-I use the Tach input Signal, not the Spark plug input Signal.

-For the parking light, I'm not sure, I've got an input and a output wire, it could be positive or negative, does it mean that the relay is built in, and if I nead a neagtive trigger, I just have to put the input wire to the ground and the output to my parking light wire (thrue a 1.69K) ????

-Lock unlock thrue relay and resistors.

Nothing else connected, now the matter is after been connected everything, nothing work ??? do I have to program the remote ??? the LED is on and flash slowly (door remotly lock)

I've test my doorlock relays, parking lights and works perfectly but not with the remote ???

Please help me !

Thanks

Here is your problem, the wire that you used in in INPUT not OUTPUT> The wire that you need to go to the bypass module is ORANGE at the main harness.

The parking light input you need to hook up to either ground or (+) depending on what you want the OUTPUT wire to output. In this case, you will need it to be hooked up to a (-) ground so that the WHITE parking light output wire will send a (-) pulse through the resistors that you will wire in series.

OK, but if I use the orange, it's a positive trigger and I need a negative to my bypass.

Do I just have to use a relay to make my negative trigger with the positive ?

Thanks

Wrong ORANGE wire your looking at. It's the ORANGE wire in the MAIN harness according to the wire diagram, the 12 pin one that says NEG. WHEN RUNNING

Something looks weird, nothings work from my remote, I've try to program it without success !

The only thing who's working is the automatic ighition door lock, that's it !

Also, the parking light don't work, when I put my wire directly to the ground via my resistor it's OK, but via the remote starter don't work, I've connect it like Velocity told me, so the parking light input to the ground and parking light output to the light true my resistor !

Please help !

Thanks

The parking light output from the unit is not strong enough of a ground. You will need to hook up a relay instead like this: resistor trigger (-) parking light diagram and take into consideration that the trigger is now (+) so you will need to either change the WHITE wire on the harness to a (+) or leave it as (-) and have pin 85 of the relay above as (+).

As far as the remote programming, make sure that you have the proper SWITCH IGNITION wire off the vehicle attached to the YELLOW wire from the 14 AWG wire harness.

Your the man Velocity Motors !

Second relay trigged by the original one works great !

For the remote, I've program it and they work now, but sometime I have reprogram the remotes because they don't work, they lost the learn code ??

Thanks.
