Hello,

I have a CT-3160M Pro Start from C.Tire installed last year, it worked for awhile then I just turned it off, it's installed on a 2000 Sunfire Manual Trans. now when I try to re-program it, it's telling me by the lights staying on that it's not a good Tach Sensor, the diagram tells me to use the White wire on the 2000 Sunfire but this won't work, is there another tach wire I can use?

Thanks Ron

That tach should definitely work if you are right at the coil, maybe you should check your connections or there may be something wrong with the remote.

You should probably redo the connection, preferably soldered since it is under the hood, and go back through any tach programming the alarm may have.

If the WHITE wire doesn't work, try the PURPLE / WHITE wire, but the WHITE wire is usually the cleaner of the two  wires as far as AC signal is concerned.
