Subject: Alarm output wanted for SMS controller

Here is my problem.

I have a “Wheels” car alarm installed in my lancer.

I went and brought a cool little SMS controller kit from Jay Car electronics, assembled it fine and have programmed it up all nice.

When I put a link between two terminals it sends me a fandangle text message to my mobile phone saying my car is being broken in to.

Now here is where all the trouble starts,

I want to connect it to my car alarm. I assumed I would be able to find an output on my car alarm so when it activates I would get some form of output (12+ or 12- ).

I have so far only found the indicator flasher output and the siren output.

If I use either of these I will get a SMS every time I arm/disarm the alarm (Which is not wanted) and if it happens to go off I will probably get about 30 SMS’s for every time the indicators flash.

So what I am wondering, Is there a way to convert that flashing output to one continuous 12v output and also to make it more difficult, only if it is on for more than maybe two seconds (to cancel out the arming/disarming flashes).

There are a couple of others outputs and I will detail them below.

Other outputs

*One that goes to a relay for the immobiliser

*Central locking (lock)

*Central locking (unlock)

I have also tried to find more Info on the alarm on the net with no success, It is a “Wheels alarm” and there are no other clues on the manufacture, not even on the PCB.

Hope some one cane help?
