I am installing a viper 771 alarm in a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel Pickup...electric door locks , but no central locking ..... 2 issues, The Manual show a green / blue three wire harness for lock - unlock. However, in the kit these wires plug into a relay. There are no wiring diagrams for the relay...It looks like 2 wires , lock - unlock positive, same negative, but unsure if the fused wire is for constant 12v or what. Also, where does the on - off toggle supplied with the kit normally tap in, no info in manual, only for the valet button. Thanks in advance Tom

Are we talking about the 451m? because you are talking about the green and blue wire. What kit are you talking about?
2002 Dodge Ram
the Door Locking System is a 1-Wire, to LOCK requires a (-)Negative thru a 820 Ohm Resistor and to UNLOCK requires a (-)Negative thru a 330 Ohm Resistor, some units require 2 extra relays part #775, to connect,
See if that helps

Sorry about that, the install manual on the viper 771 xv refers to a 3 pin connector, middle not used, green and blue lock and unlock, however this is a harness that goes to the 451M relay to which there is no info on.So my question is , does this 451 alleviate the need to use outboard relays, or can I wire it direct in? Thanks TB

The 451M is a relay module so you dont need any relays...You should do as follows: 451M PURPLE / blk goes to ground for negative trigger locks. WHITE/ Blk and BROWN / blk is not used. Solder 820ohm resistor in the GREEN/ blk wire and a 330ohm resistor into the blue/blk wire and connect the outputs of those into one wire which taps into the WHITE/ green wire in the truck. The small gauge 3 pin harness should plug into the 4200 and everything should work out fine...

That is exactly what I needed, Thanks so much, I guess thats why the fuse blew when I put the purple to hot, oh well.....Where do you normally tap in the disable on-off toggle switch that comes with the kit?

It is meant to be wired to the nuetral saftey switch on a rem start, but if you ground one side of it it will either enable or disable the unit (i think) Im not a DEI guy....
