I have installed the compustar system on my toyota. Everything is hooked up according to the diagrams.
I have a few questions,
1. when I arm the system it locks, but when I disarm it wont unlock, (and If I swap these 2 wires it will do the opposite, unlocks but wont lock). I believe that I neeed to diode isolate it, (is this right?) if yes, could anyone tell me how to hook these diodes up? possibly a diagram?
2. also when I go to remote start it, it wont start unless I push the clutch in (manual trans.) there is a switch thats interupts the ignition, there are two switches on the clutch, when I push 1 of them then it will start, can I just bypass this without messing up anything else?
Thanks in advance for your time,
John

unlock...blue and green diode isolat, BOTH must be connected. How do the wires "test" on the clutch? Get your meter and push the switches on the clutch, then (in neutral) swist the key to start it.....what happens then? No info on your clutch bypass.

I dont understand how to hook up the unlock and lock wires, do I hook up the diodes from both wires from the unit and then into 1 wire, or hook up the diodes from the unit into each wire from the car
brain
4 blue (-)250mA Lock Output -|>|- or -|<|- to ?
5 blue/black (-)250mA unlock Output -|>|- or -|<|- to ?
on the clutch switch, when I push the button it starts, I put a jumper on the switch cables and the auto start works just fine.

How your diodes should look like (DIODES- Neg flow from bandside to non-bandside) About your clutch, https://www.the12volt.com/downloads/file.asp?ID=302Just give that wire the pulse it needs (pos or neg.) ------------- Note: You Always Dont Get What You Pay For.

I can't remember if it was for this vehicle, but try using your disarm wire from Compustar unit(brain) and make your connection to the Blue or Green wire. If the timing of the disarm wire is close enough to the unlock wire you may be able to skip the diode process. If it doesn't work go to back to the diode as suggested. ------------- Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.
