I am getting ready to purchase a remote starter/alarm for my truck. I have done a few before but never this truck so after reading on here for a while I am a bit nervous but still confident. My only question is, I have factory keyless entry which flashes the parking lights, can I hook up to this to avoid installing the many relays required for these functions through a new unit?

Most will have built in parking light flash relay's. You WILL need relays and resistors for the factory security and locks.

Wow, that is fantastic. I realize the wiring for the second ignition without this module...well how to do it anyway, how will this effect that? Also does this eliminate the need to wire all the door triggers via seperate diodes to the single input of the alarm? This thing seems like it saves a great amount of time and hassle, why doesnt everyone use them???

It doesnt affect the second ign wiring, it does eliminate the need to tap all the door triggers seperatly, and most of the pros do use them and most amatures dont know they exist.

One more thing, do I have the second or third generation sentry key? How do I know?

Only reason I asked is because a site I found to buy that bypass/interface that you posted a link to said it was for gen.2 but the site you listed seems more informed. Thank you for your help.
