car: 1995 240sx
alarm: clifford matrix RSX3.5
note: remote start not installed

As you can see, the red wire of 508D is T'd into the existing red wire of the shock sensor harness. On the manual it says a +12V constant fused. It isn't causing any problem currently, but if I rewire 508d's red wire to a dedicated +12v, what inline fuse should I use?

The black wire of 508D as well is T'd into the black wire of shock sensor harness. On the manual it says a ground-when-armed is a MUST when 516T voice module is also being used. Why is it a must?
If I connect the black wire of 508D to ground-when-armed wire of the brain instead of the chassis ground, or currently it appears to be sharing with the shock sensor, will it make 508D to power off (during disarm), and as a result, adjusting the sensitivity of 508D will not be effective until I arm the alarm?
Chassis ground or ground-when-armed, does it really matter with 508D?

BTW, there are two ground-when-armed outputs:
H1/12 orange (-)500mA
RS/6 ORANGE / black (-)200mA

If orange one will be used with 8618 starter kill relay, can I use either one for 508D?
How about with 507M as well and how should the wiring be.
How much mA do 507M/508D need anyway?

If you take a look at the diagram again, what would you do/rewire to make it better?

Do not use the 12v and ground from the shock sensor!
Take it from the car and chasis!!!

You can qire it like that^^^ (recomended)
so that you can have warn away and full trigger

Or you can use the ground when arm (orange off H1 harness) and instant trigger (blue, also from H1).

12v from car. ground from oj wire. connect the full trigger wire from sensor to the blue wire.
Doing it this way, you cannot do warn away chirp.

if oj (H1/12) is used for starter kill, you cannot use that oj as ground.

I thought so too, that's why I think the installer did a lazy+sloppy job.
While we are at this, I'd like to understand the reason. Is it because 508D draws too much current?
When I reviewed the install guide for 506T (audio sensor) I see it draws 1mA and it has identical wiring (sharing red and black wires with shock sensor) on page 2.

Can I use "RS/6 ORANGE / black (-)200mA" instead?

That, I know. But 508D for sure most people don't want to lose warn away function. It'd be annoying if the alarm goes off all the time whenever the warn away is triggered.

The install manual of matrix rsx3.5 and viper 791xv seem to have a couple dozen errors, and many inconsistent and conflicting info. That wasted me hundred of hours and confused people (DIY ones) big time. Can you list me the ACTUAL table of zones? I wish there is a revision of the manuals somewhere for download.
